A police operation has shut down a suspected organized crime operation in Deal. Following the search of a building on Saturday, 10 January, police found more than 300 cannabis plants. Officers discovered a premises being used as a cultivation site for cannabis. The building, located in The Strand, Walmer, was immediately secured; the cultivation was dismantled, and all growing equipment and tools were removed. District Commander for Dover, Chief Inspector Liz Cokayne-Delves, said: “Cultivations like these help to fund serious organized crime, so officers work tirelessly to identify and shut down these sites. By making life difficult for criminals and disrupting their operations, we help to keep our community safe.”Cannabis factory discovered in Dover warehouse.
