DOVER: MAN DETAINED BY POLICE ON SUSPICION OF MURDERING HIS MOTHER.
Police received a call on Sunday afternoon following reports of an assault on a woman. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found the woman already deceased; a man was immediately detained in connection with the incident. Joshua Izu is alleged to have killed his 64-year-old mother, Oji Izu, in Khartoum Road, Whitfield, near Dover. Police are currently investigating to establish the exact circumstances of the events. Residents in the area described the woman as a lovely person, quiet and friendly towards everyone. They also stated that the neighbourhood has always been very peaceful. Police are appealing for public assistance to thoroughly investigate the incident.
