The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued a recall for several Saffron Pastrys food products due to suspected rodent contamination, rendering the items unfit for human consumption and a risk to public health. An FSA spokesperson stated: "If you have purchased these products, do not eat them. Instead, return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Rodent faeces, urine, and saliva pose significant health risks and can transmit infectious diseases such as Salmonella, Leptospirosis, or Lymphocytic Choriomeningitis (LCMV)." Affected Products: The products involved in the recall are: Saffron Pastrys branded: Almond Biscuits, Almond Madeira Slice, Coconut Slice, Cream Roll, Family Almond Cake Rusk, Family Cake Rusk, Fruit Madeira Slice, Fruit Slice, Jam Biscuits, Lemon Slice, Original Cake Rusk, Almond Slice, Pistachio Biscuits, Plain Madeira Slice, and Triple Pack Variety Madeira.
