FORMER DANCE STUDIO HIDES CANNABIS FACTORY
More than 1,000 cannabis plants were found in a former dance studio. Police checked the disused building located on Coombe Valley Road, Dover, after a utility company reported a spike in electricity consumption.
Officers found a cannabis factory and a vast ventilation system inside.
A police spokesperson stated: 'The premises have been secured and an investigation is underway. No arrests have been made yet.'
The building is a former Dover Dance Academy studio built in the 1960s. Police are asking for the public's help, urging anyone who has seen anything suspicious in the area, or who has private CCTV or doorbell footage that could aid the investigation, to come forward.
