HALLOWEEN IN KENT

Halloween in Kent

Dark and spooky nights—there's no better time to explore the nights in Kent. Its marshes, Victorian cemeteries, and fog-covered landscapes inspired novelist Charles Dickens.

The author M.R. James, born in Goodnestone, near Dover, is famous for his ghost stories, earning him the nickname 'The Father of the Popular Horror Story.'

But Kent is also a star for its settings in horror films. The Channel 4 thriller Southcliffe was filmed in Faversham, and the mystery Whitstable Pearl, starring Kerry Godliman, is set in the seaside town.

Blue Bell Hill, the main road connecting Medway and Maidstone, has been the location of many otherworldly sightings over the years. Every October, Kent offers visits into its chilling atmospheres, such as night tours at Hever Castle in Edenbridge.

What better time to explore Kent than Halloween.
